One of the most picturesque places in Ukrainian capital - Central park of Culture and Recreation. Founded in XVIII century, park appeals to the eye by its comfort and coolness of the alley, unbounded view of the left bank of the Dnipro river.
In 1920's famous musicians were performing their concerts for the various public of our city. Among well-known musicians, there were performing such outstanding people artists as Olexandr Glasunov, Sergiy Prokofiev, Vladimir Horowitz, Nathan Milstein, and such famous conductors as Reinhold Glier and Felix Blumenfeld. In 1950's Central Park was welcoming world known conductor Nathan Rahlin with his series of the world music heritage. This wonderful tradition was renewed by International Festival "Kyiv Summer Music Evenings", founded in 1998. Festival is aimed to introduce and develop the practice of holding various cultural events for music lovers. Organizers of the festival are Main Cultural Department of Kyiv State City Administration, International Charitable Fund of Vladimir Horowitz Competition and R.M.Glier Kyiv State Higher Music College. Director of the Festival is Honoured Art Worker of Ukraine - Yuri Zilberman. Art spectrum of the festival is very diversified. Thousands of Kyiv citizens and quests of the capital have a unique opportunity to enjoy the classical and modern works, presented by Symphony, Chamber, Folk, Wind Orchestras and Ensembles, Chorus and Jazz Groups, Soloists from Ukraine, Russia, USA, Greece, South Korea, France, Japan, Poland, China and Turkey.
